Leonie attended Lourdes College from 1979 to 1984. She Graduated from Kharkov’s school of Engineering with a Masters in Civil Engineering and also from the University of Maryland College Park with a Masters degree in Structural Engineering. She speaks and writes fluently in English, French and Russian. Currently she works at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a Senior Database Engineer. She is a married mother of 2 boys and a girl.
Leonie served as Vice president (1998-2001) and president (2001-2005) of LESA DC METRO.
She is an Engineer by education, computer specialist by profession, cake and fruit decorator by passion

I attended Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School Mankon from 1980 to 1985 and was the Senior Prefect in final year. I am a founding member of the Vibrant 85s-Class of 1985, the Founder and President of LESA California Branch.
I have a BS Geology and a MS in Petroleum Geology from the University of Benin , Nigeria where I served as a guest lecturer after graduation. I have been a substitute teacher for a several years. I am married with a daughter, two sons and a step daughter.
I enjoy teaching and believe in great family values. I seek to strike a balance between raising a family within a western culture and maintaining my indigenous cultural identity. I am currently embarking on a career change to nursing. I volunteer some of time to my children’s schools, my church, a hospital in my community and LESA.
With the Almighty God, I believe in me and strive to do everything to the best of my ability and capability. I cherish and love my family and friends. May all women nurture exemplary families for our communities and make the world a better place.

Patricia has an Educational background in Criminal Justice and Criminology. She has been a member of LESA USA since its conception and has held the post of National treasurer for the past two years. She is passionate and committed to assisting her Alma Mata in its goal to educate, enrich, cultivate, and nurture the minds of young girls in Cameroon. She actively participates in any activity or project that LESA USA puts forth to assist Our Lady Lourdes College to create a healthy environment conducive for learning and encouraging girls to dream and reach for their goals.

Sheila N. Tegomoh is a proud member of the class of 1996. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and BS in Finance, Risk Management & Insurance from the Curtis C. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and currently practices law in Washington DC. Prior to moving to Washington DC, she interned with the General Counsel’s Office and Legal Department at the African Development Bank and also with the Legal Aid Society of North Carolina at their office in Gastonia. She has been a very active member of LESA-USA Inc. From 2002-2007, she served as the Financial Secretary for the Minnesota Chapter. As a law student, she took the initiative along with her local chapter of the Black Law Student Association to raise funds for the LESA Water Project. Her contributions to LESA-USA Inc. have been recognized with awards from the Baltimore Chapter and National President of LESA-USA Inc. in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Sheila is committed to the mission of LESA-USA Inc. and is honored to serve concurrently as National Publicity Secretary and Legal Adviser for the term 2007-2010.

Jane holds a BBA in Finance and MBA in Economics & Development Banking. She's currently works for Financial Information Consulting Services (FICS) in Washington DC as a Business Integration Manager. Jane is also a married mother of 3 (2 boys and a girl). She is committed to the cause of educating the girl child in Africa while taking advantage of the new era of an ever changing technology to make the world a better place. She is especially passionate about making that dream come true for her Alma mattae Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School in Bamenda Cameroon.

Formerly President of LESA-USA (Summer 2004 - 2007). Graduated from Strayer University Washington, DC with MBA degree in Management; and BS degree in Computer Information Systems. Hold professional certifications in ITIL and Microsoft. An SME of Performance Management Consultants, Inc., currently detailed as the Enterprise Architecture Program Manager for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). USCIS primary liaison to DHS EA, and a voting member of the DHS Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (EACOE). A member of the executive of the Bui Family Union (BFU), Washington DC Metro Chapter, and Eucharistic Minister at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC. Married to Odupitan, and mother to Yoti and Kilo.

Florence Wanda is Corporate Tax Attorney working with mostly fortune 500 companies in a tax consulting capacity. Florence is the proud mother of three beautiful Children (2 girls and a boy) and a Super wife to a Super Hubby. Her family resides in Lakeville Minnesota.
A graduate of the Class of 79 (Classy Nerds). Proud of it!
Florence holds a B.A in Criminal Justice from Mansfield University, Pennsylvania, a JD Law Degree from Mercer University in Georgia and a Masters in Tax Law, LLM in Taxation from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Currently serving LESA USA as Auditor. My goal is to make sure we run an efficient and World-Class Organization (LESA USA) and to leave a legacy and a solid foundation for the next generation of LESANS. Florence is committed to all the causes championed by LESA USA. She is 100% committed to the empowerment and unification of members of LESA USA.

Maureen graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School in 1996, and has been active in various LESA branches since then. She is currently the treasurer for LESA Delaware Chapter.
Maureen holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Buea, and an MBA in Accounting and Financial Management from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.
She currently lives and works in New Jersey.

Liga E. Mutia-Yanou is an Attorney since 1998 and is licensed in California and Washington, DC. Born in Lagos , Nigeria, Liga has a B.A. in Bilingual Studies from the University of Yaounde, Cameroon, an M.A. in Communications from Howard University in Washington , D.C. and a J.D. from the University of Florida , Levin College of Law. Liga has worked in various area of law, including criminal defense, entertainment, civil rights, employment, personal injury, business, immigration law and international development. In addition, Liga was Attorney Advisor for DC Public Schools and more recently Staff Attorney for the American Bar Association - Africa Law Initiative, supervising rule of law and access to justice projects in Africa . She developed and implemented training programs on gender based violence, juvenile justice and promotion of human rights in Africa . Liga is committed to education of children and protection of women and girls in Africa. She is actively involved in the community as an avid promoter of LESA ideals in her capacity as President of the DC Chapter of LESA-USA as well as her activities in the Bali Cultural Association, where she has held the position of National Secretary and is currently its Legal Adviser. Liga is fluent in French, and is a published poet as well as an avid sports fan, having been a popular college basketball player in Cameroon. Liga is married two wonderful boys, loves cooking, swimming and taking care of her family and friends.

Rosemary Tufon is a very active member of LESA-USA Georgia Chapter. She is very passionate about the education of young women all over the world especially in third world countries where this is still a luxury. For this reason, she has worked hard since the inception of LESA-USA to raise awareness about her ALMA MATA Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School in Cameroon and her mission to help the young girls of this institution have access to clean drinking water, a goal that was accomplished in 2008.
