Who Benefits
LESA-USA Scholarship Foundation focuses on financial assistance and support of students pursuing
secondary and higher education and who have demonstrated academic excellence at their different
levels of education from classes 1 through 5. Applications are available in March, and awards
are disbursed in July of each year. Funds are wired to Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School, in
the student's name. Scholarship amounts are determined each year by the Foundation's Scholarship
Board of Directors. All members on this board are volunteers. Members of the Scholarship Board review
applications, and awards are made in the following categories based on availability of funds:
- Financial need
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated talents and abilities
LESA-DC Scholarship Fund is dedicated to paying tuition and boarding expenses for orphaned students of
Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School, whose parents died AIDS. . The Principal reviews applications.
The Principal makes recommendations to LESA - DC the students that deserve on the assistance according to need.
